I first met Dewey when I was a bartender at Welker's Grill, and he was still a police officer. I ran into him years later, and ended up working for him at Teddy O's, where he was happy to let me boss him around. He was pure joy when he put the coffee on each morning and the 10th ward stragglers would stop by. Dewey had a goofy laugh that could light up even the darkest day! I will never forget it. Dewey, you will be missed: you made a difference to people. Reenie Grant

Dewey , I enjoyed our talks together in our motorcycle group . You were a good friend since we came on the police dept. together . We will ride together again someday . Rest in peace Dale Schaefer
