Obituary of Michael Allan Johnson

Michael Allan Johnson, 69 years old, of Webster, NY passed away on Sunday November 22, 2020. Predeceased by his parents and infant brother. Survived by his wife, Dr. Mary Dombovy, and three children - Matthew (Lynn Istas), Dr. Marissa (Jared Hopkins) and Mischa (Elizabeth Wrobel).

He was born in St. Cloud, MN on September 3, 1951 to Mary Robbers and Lionel Johnson. Michael graduated from St. Cloud State then went on to obtain a pharmacy degree from the University of Buffalo.

Michael and Mary met running outside on a considerably below zero day in February 1975. They married in 1978 and after living in Rochester, MN and Madison, WI moved to the Rochester, NY area in 1989. Michael and Mary, best friends and the love of each other’s lives, enjoyed the outdoors bicycling and hiking. Besides working as a pharmacist, Michael took care of the home, the cars, the pets, the yard and most importantly the children. He was very proud of them.

Michael liked being in the background, helping whomever he could. He was a kind, caring and gentle man, teaching his children the importance of giving back and to enjoy the simple things in life.

A celebration of life will be held in summer of 2021.
