Ward, William E.
Rochester:
August 31, 2009.
Age 91.
Predeceased by many loving family members and friends.
Survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Costa Ward; daughter, Patricia Seka; sons, Daniel and Stephen; dear friend, Jim Coyne; also many nieces and nephews. William was a WWII veteran, who saw action in Africa, Italy (Battle of Casino) and France, where he was wounded in battle. He retired from Lawyers Co-Operative Publishing Company where he worked as a copy writer and supervisor of Textbook Promotions. A chartered member of WXXI. William volunteered for years at Reachout Radio and Volunteer Tapists of Monroe County. For many years he was an active member of Writers and Books and published a short story. William will be remembered for his goodness, his Irish wit and his progressive ideas.
A Memorial gathering is planned for the future. Contributions in his memory may be sent to WXXI, 280 State Street, Rochester, NY 14614.
