When we visited Bill & Mickey in Rochester, Maria and Mickey would just talk for hours. Bill's job was always to keep me occupied. He always did a great job of it and made me feel comfortable, welcome and part of the family. Bill always said that he and I were the outsiders (or out-laws) that invaded the family. He was always trying to get a rise out of Mickey and Maria which he usually did get. We both loved him very much and I'll miss him. Love, Scottie

Maggie, Pat, Dan & Steve: Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. With Bill's passing the world is losing one great humanitarian who cared about his family, his co-workers and his community. I missed his cheery laughter when he left the Co-ops and I am ashamed that I never got to see him these pass few years. When he would call me at the office it was the highlight of my day. I wish I had recorded those calls so I could play them when my days here get me down. Love to you all, Gus

To the family of our dear friend Bill, It was with great sadness, but fond and humorous memories, that we read the notice of Bill's passing. Bill was a wonderful and faithful friend and volunteer reader for WXXI Reachout Radio. We always looked forward to Thursdays when we knew that Bill - and his sidekick Dick - would be in to read the D&C C section and editorials. Bill always had us laughing with his dry wit and unique perspective on life. I've thought of him often over the last years, and am thankful that he had such a wonderful long life to share with family and friends who loved him so. Thanks also to the family for designating WXXI as recipient of memorial contributions in Bill's name. It is just one more sign of his commitment to that which he loved. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
