Obituary of Anne Warner

Warner, Anne M. (Ciurca) Fairport: August 4, 2014. Passed away peacefully at age 91 after a long illness. Predeceased by husband, David; and brother, Peter Ciurca; devoted mother of Sharon, Joan and Gary (Amy); best mom ever; daughter of Sicilian immigrant Anthony and Mary (Battaglia) Ciurca. Grew up on Sander St. Played on the sand lots of Coleman Terrace. Attended Franklin H.S., where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. Obtained RN at Highland Hospital. Served as First Lieutenant as Army Nurse. Loved gardening, cherished member of Holy Cross Parish. Leaves behind sister-in-law, Marilyn and nieces, Andrea and Victoria Ciurca; 1st cousins, Kenneth and Karen Battaglia; close friend, Mary Diguilio. Calling TUES. (TODAY) 4-7PM at Falvo Funeral Home, Webster, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Route 250). On Wednesday please meet the family at Holy Cross Church for her Funeral Mass at 9AM.
