Obituary of JEANE NOTO SIDERAKIS PIGNATO

Penfield: Passed away peacefully at her home on April 7, 2008 at the age of 71. She suffered from Alzheimer's for more than 15 years as we watched her mind quiet and her hands still. We have no doubt that she is in a better place, having been released after a long, frightful journey through a horrible place that robbed her of her personality and the ability to communicate with her loved ones. She is free and we are happy for her. We were truly blessed that she was a part of our lives. Predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Carmela LaPlaca. She leaves her loving husband of 51 years, Anthony C. Esq. ; her son, Anthony J. (Deana Lagana); her daughters, Gia, Andrea (George) Siderakis and Maria (Ron) Pignato. She truly cherished all of her grandchildren, Anthony G. And Jessica Noto, Maria and Chris Siderakis, Ronnie Marie, Emily and Grace Pignato who will dearly miss their Nana. She is survived by her brother, Frank (Pat) LaPlaca; her special "sister" Millie (Jim) Petrillo; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She leaves her special friends, Terry Fico, Lorry Selvaggio and Eleanor Giovine. Our sincere gratitude goes to Jeane's live-in aide, Lisa L. LeDuc, for her unconditional kindness and compassion over the past nine years. We are grateful not only for her ability to give Jeane exceptional, unmatched homecare, but for her loyalty, honesty and ability to preserve her dignity during this long illness.
