Obituary of Barbara Zona

Zona, Barbara J. (Brucato) Penfield: Passed January 30, 2014 at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Predeceased by her parents, Albert Brucato and Nancy Brucato (Paolotto). Survived by her loving husband of 33 years Richard, step-daughter, Regina Zona (Patricia Smith); brother, Stanley Brucato (Donna); mother-in-law, Patricia Zona; sister-in-law, Barbara Bianchi; many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Barbara was part owner of Zona Properties, Inc. Real Estate Management and a prior employee of Rochester Instrument Systems and Xerox. Barbara was also a navy veteran. She was a loving and generous woman and spouse and will be missed by all. The family would like to thank everyone that cared for her at the Lipson Cancer Center and the Wilmont Cancer Center, especially Dottie Chilton. There will be a Mass for Barbara on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Church of the Holy Spirit located at 1355 Hatch Rd. Webster, NY at 10:30 AM. There will be no prior visiting hours and internment will be private at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lipson Cancer Center or National Leukemia Society.
