January 7, 2014 at age 84.
Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marion Mancini. Al was dedicated to his family; cherished father of Anna Marie Mancini (Roger Winkelman), Gina (Robert) Maldonado, Mary Catherine (Patrick) Caffrey, Adell (Lawrence) Panetta, Paul (Joelle) Mancini; proud grandfather to Carly, Abby and Lorenzo Maldonado, Michael, Samantha and Daniel Caffrey, Margaret and Christopher Panetta; brother to Ralph Mancini of Albany, NY, and Rocco (Terry) Mancini and Mary Elizabeth Mancini of Palatine Bridge, NY. A resident of Penfield, Al had a long career as an engineer at Xerox and served 35 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring as a colonel. Al studied military history, particularly the role of women in WWI, and was a recognized collector of militaria.

On SATURDAY family and friends are asked to go directly to St. Rita's Church, (1008 Maple Ave., Webster) for the celebration of his Funeral Mass at 11:15AM.
Donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster 14580.
Interment, Webster Union Cemetery.
