Obituary of Shirley Gustafson

Gustafson, Shirley (Armagost) Rochester: Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, peacefully passed away Saturday December 21, 2013 with family by her side. She was 90 years young. She was predeceased by her husband Floyd, to whom she was married for 42 years. Together they spent many years traveling, enjoying time with their family and hundreds of family events- and playing golf- a true passion for them both. She was a force to be reckoned with on the golf course. She is survived by her daughters, Kristina (Guy) Taylor and Karen (Allan) Welter; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Shannon) Dunn, David Taylor, Alissa (Michael) Tyminski, and Ashley (Aurelio) Irizarry; four very special great-grandchildren will miss their "GG"-Callahan Dunn, Tyler Dunn, Jessie Dunn and her newest great-grandchild, Adysson Tyminski, seven months old. She is also survived by her sister Mary Alice Leech and her niece Jill (John) Sloop and nephew Jack Leech. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Richard Leech. Shirley's family would like to thank the staff at Hill Haven Nursing Home for the amazing love and care they gave Shirley and her family during the several years she spent there. Her daughters will now take her back to Florida to join her husband, Floyd. There will be no services at this time. There will be a memorial family gathering in 2014. Anyone wishing to make a donation in Shirley's name should direct it to Hill Haven Nursing Home.
