Obituary of John Bosco MD

Bosco, John Robert, M.D. Webster: December 18, 2013. Age 82. Born on June 1, 1931 in Detroit, MI. He graduated from Wayne State University and received his Medical Education at Albany Medical College. He was a resident at Rochester General, Strong Memorial Hospital, and Pittsford Children's Hospital. Beloved Pediatrician, he practiced in the Rochester Community for 45 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was happiest when surrounded by children, and was a leader in the Boy Scouts Program, Youth Football and Religious Education. A member of the Monroe County Medical Society, The Knights of Columbus, Irondequoit Chamber of Commerce and Rochester Yacht Club. He served his community as President of the Monroe County Pediatrics, Monroe Plan for Medical Care and Christ the King Parish Council. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Michael and his brother, Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane; 2 sons, 2 daughters, Michael Bosco of Sodus Point, NY, John R. (DanDan) Bosco Jr. of China, Mary Helen (Todd) Hayes of Fairport, NY and Tory (Mike) Baker of CT.; brother, Michael (Kathy) Bosco and his cherished granddaughters, Chloe and Maddie Hayes, Abby and Mackenzie Baker.
