I miss you more than you can know, Sweetie Pie. You went through so much that I know you were tired. Most people could never have done what you did. I kept thinking you'd always be here but that's asking too much of anyone. You are the strongest person I know. I love you so much. I will never forget you. Thank you for allowing me to share your life.

Ed was a good, intelligent man with a kind heart and good sense of humor, a good husband, and a wonderful father. Is there a better legacy anyone could leave behind? I don't think so. Nancy, you have been a hero, Ed was very lucky to have met you. You can be proud of yourself; you were a wonderful wife and companion, and steadfast in his care. Michael, I am very proud of you, you were a hero also. No one could have asked for a more loving son that tried to be there for your dad as much as you did. But no one could have asked for a more dedicated father that adored you from the moment you were born! Ed will be greatly missed, I know, but you can comfort yourselves in the knowledge that you did all that you could for him. My deepest sympathies to his sister Sue and brother Al, and to all the friends and family that loved him. We were all Blessed to know him.
