Passed away Dec. 22, 2011 at age 39 after a 2 ½ year journey with cancer.
Survived by her loving husband of 16 years, John; children, Sarah, Jack and Kate; parents, Bob and Ruth Wensley; brothers, Rob (Lori) Wensley, and Chris (Heather) Wensley; parents-in-law, John and Anne Rider; sisters-in-law, Mary (Richard) Rike, Susan (Jay) Smith and Amy (Joe) Haven; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She is also survived by her life-long friend, Kristie Rush.
Laura was a graduate of Webster High School, Potsdam College and Geneseo College (MS) She was a teacher at State Road School in Webster for several years before taking on her favorite role as a stay-at-home mom to three wonderful children. She was a member of Browncroft Community Church and was active in Vacation Bible School, CBS, and Pioneer Girls. She also has been active in Young Life for many years. She had a passion for golf and running.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and many other members of the medical community that assisted and supported us on this journey, most especially Laura's dear friend Stacey Ormond.
Laura made a lasting impression on everyone she met and was loved by all who knew her. She lived a blessed life surrounded by family and wonderful friends. She will be dearly missed.
Calling hours will be at the Falvo Funeral Home,1295 NINE MILE POINT RD.( Rte.250 ) in Webster on Tues. Dec. 27th, from 1-4pm and 7-9 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held at Browncroft Community Church on Wed Dec. 28th at 10:30 am.
