Obituary of John Coleman Winter

Winter, John Coleman Penfield: Born in Philadelphia, PA Feb. 14, 1927; passed away peacefully July 22, 2013. Survived by his wife of 62 years Lucille "Luci" R. Winter; son Steven J.; daughter Julianne (David) Palma; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a US Army Veteran; a prize winning artist and past President of the Penfield Art Association; he was an avid reader and member of Friends of the Penfield Library; an Aviation buff, a modeler and member of Flying Aces; designer of men's jewelry for Hickok of Rochester and of women's jewelry for Sarah Coventry in Newark, NY, where he redesigned the Miss Universe crown. Calling Hours THURSDAY 4-8 at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road (Rte. 250). On FRIDAY, family and friends are asked to go directly to Holy Spirit Church (corner of Plank Road & Hatch Road) at 10:30 AM for the celebration of his Funeral Mass. Donations may be made in John's name to Penfield Volunteer Ambulance, 1585 Jackson Rd., Penfield, NY 14526 and Friends of the Penfield Library, 1985 Baird Rd., Penfield, NY 14526. Interment, Oakwood Cemetery.
