Obituary of Philip Adams
Adams, Philip
Webster:
Phil died peacefully on the evening of Saturday, July 20, after a courageous battle with cancer. Phil was preceded in death by his wife Joyce and his parents Laura and Amedeo Adams. He is survived by his children, Julie and Philip; siblings Marilyn Adams, Norma Jean Marketell, Richard (Marlene) Adams, Sandra Adams, Shirley Ann (Charles) Miller, Linda Cranston (Richard Stenglein), Elaine Esgrow, Karen Adams; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Phil was a key part of the development of the Wine Industry in Rochester and Upstate New York. His tireless efforts and passion for people are what his customers invested in, not necessarily cases of wine (although he made sure they had enough of those too!).
In all his years of dedication in the sales and promotion of the Wine Industry in Rochester and Upstate New York, as evidenced through his roles as Territory Sales Representative at Wine Merchants, Wine Manager at Eber Bros. Wine & Liquor and Key Account Manager at Southern Wine & Spirits, Phil's passion remained ever strong throughout. His words were heard loudly and his actions were, and will continue to be, felt daily.
Calling hours are Thursday, 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Webster Rd (Route 250), Webster. Memorial mass will be held Friday, 9:15 a.m. at St. Rita Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Phil's memory to either the Strong Wilmot Cancer Center, Visiting Nurse Service of Rochester and Monroe County or The Advent House.
The family would like to extend special thanks and gratitude to the many doctors and nurses, home health aides and volunteers at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester General Hospital, Visiting Nurse Service, The Advent House and The Leo Center for Caring for your compassionate care during Phil's long journey. We will be forever grateful.
