Obituary of Maria C. Pace
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Maria Cocco Pace announces her passing on Thursday, November 14. She was predeceased by Giuseppe Pace, her husband of 42 years. Maria is survived by her loving family, including her son Vincenzo; her daughter Maria Lucia; daughter Gaetana; her grandchildren Michael and Alexandra Walsh, and her loving family in Italy.
Maria was born on August 26, 1940, in Lucera, Italy. She met her husband after coming to the U.S. in 1963. She was a proud mother and devoted wife, working tirelessly to provide a loving home for her husband and children. She, in turn, was adored and loved by them. She was a devout Catholic and a model of committed faith for her children, instilling these values and Italian family traditions in them. These are her gifts to be forever cherished.
Maria worked as a seamstress at Hickey Freeman in Rochester, NY, and The BonTon before her retirement.
A Funeral Mass, celebrating Maria's life and religious devotion will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Penfield on Thursday, November 21st at 10:30 am, interment to follow at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, New York.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Fairport Baptist Home for their care and compassion and Hospice Care for their support and guidance.
