Obituary of Dorothy J. Neugebauer

Dorothy Jean Estock Neugebauer, 85, of Webster, NY passed away on October 7, 2024 after a brief illness.

Dorothy was born on November 30, 1938 to Joseph George and Genevieve Margaret “Peggy” (Smith) Estock in Altoona, PA. Dorothy met Leo Thomas Neugebauer in Altoona and they married in 1959 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Dorothy and Tom had 1 child, Gregory Thomas.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, son Greg, and sister Jerry (Estock) Verilla. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Elycia Whitmill, and niece Kathie and husband Frank Suriano.

In the 1980’s, the Neugebauer’s moved from Walden to Pittsford, NY. Never one to sit idle, Dorothy worked as a dental hygienist until her retirement.  Along with her husband, Dorothy delivered Meals on Wheels for over 10 years. They were avid snowbirds, vacationing in Anna Maria Island, Florida. Since moving to Webster, Dorothy found peace walking in her neighborhood – sometimes multiple times a day – and in her faith. She was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Church in Webster, NY.

No prior calling. All are welcome to St. Ann’s at Cherry Ridge (920 Cherry Ridge Blvd, Webster) 10 AM Monday, October 14th for a celebration of her funeral mass. A reception to follow. Interment private.
