Hi JoAnn, we're so very sorry to hear about Ron. He was such a great guy, loved by all! He and you were wonderful neighbors when we lived in Green Pine and have many memories together! More recently we enjoyed seeing Ron at Holy Spirit for mass services. Ron will surely be missed. Our love and prayers are with you and Ron Jr and your whole family!

I met Ron when he first came into my store in Pittsford thirteen years ago and it was many laughs and making special memories over the years with him and JoAnn. Ron convinced me to get into running and we ran a 5K together. During the race there was a lady who was a very slow runner and would definitely finish last. Ron told me to go run on ahead and he was going to stay and run with her so she wouldn't finish by herself. Both of us stayed and the three of us finished in last place together. That was just one of the many examples of the sweet heart that he had! I loved him so much and will truly miss him.

Ron was truly a special man, he had a generous heart and infectious spirit that touched everyone he came into contact with. Michelle and I considered him a great friend, who was always there to help, offer advice or extend a hand.
When our daughter was sick and seeking medical care, the doctors were offering appointments that were months out. Watching our daughter suffer in pain was heart wrenching and the lack of urgency from the doctors was maddening.
Ron called me on a Sunday evening and I was telling him the story and about our frustrations with the medical community and all the issues getting to the specific specialist that our daughter needed.
Ron listened and then said, give me a half an hour. Twenty minutes later he called back and said, "She has an appointment on Tuesday morning at 8am. The specialist you need will call you first thing tomorrow morning to get all the details, so he is prepared for the appointment. Sure enough, at 8:15am the next morning and the doctor, who we were previously told could meet with us till three months later, was on the line and eager to help.
That is who Ron Maggio was. I loved him like a brother and will miss him.

We met Ron and his wife about 6 years ago when our daughter and her family moved into a house just 2 doors away. Ron greeted us with his big smile and always yelled welcome back from his driveway when we visited. When my husband was diagnosed with cancer and entered into treatment at Wilmot Cancer Center, Ron sent the prayer to St. Peregrine to him and assured us that he and his wife would be praying for us. Unfortunately. It is now our time to pray for your family Mr. Ron (as our granddaughters fondly call you). May you all have the comfort you need today and the strength you will need in the days ahead. Love to you.

John and I met Ron 45 years ago. Originally, Ron was my insurance man and fellow Buffalo Bills fan.
We were blessed to become friends with Ron and JoAnn. We send our sympathies to JoAnn, Ron Jr., Cheryl, and Ron III.
We will miss his engaging personality and our Buffalo Bills conversations.

My husband Dave and I have known Ron and his wonderful family for nearly 40 years. Ron was one of the most loyal friends we’ve ever had. He truly would do anything for his family and friends, he had a huge personality and just wanted others to be happy. It seems anyone he ever met was to him an immediate friend, he was quick to pull people close and remind them how much he loved them. Ron absolutely adored his wife JoAnn and was so crazy proud of Ron Jr, Cheryl and RM3. Ron’s outgoing and positive energy along with his ability to live such a full life seemed to come so naturally to him. We will miss him dearly and will always remember his booming voice and loving personality. We feel so blessed to have known him. JoAnn and Ron, please know we are praying for you to find strength and comfort.
So much love, the Naylor family

I'm thankful that my career in Medicare sales distribution re-connected me with my native Rochester and my friend, Ron. My heart aches to learn of his sudden passing, and I'm sending many prayers and much love to Joann and family. When seeing Ron last year for the first time in many years, it was as if I had just seen him yesterday - greeted with a big hug, some sarcasm and lamenting over our Bills. Ron's generosity and love for life extended to my son when Ron invited us to view his sports collection. This would end up being the last time I saw Ron, and he was wearing his Bills sweatshirt with a picture of the Lombardi Superbowl Trophy that said "Just One Before I Die." It will happen someday, Ron - and you will have a front row seat for it all! Much love.
