Obituary of Janice B. Weishaar

WEBSTER - Janice Barbara May Weishaar passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, at the age of 76, following a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.  She is predeceased by son-in-law, Dave Harmon; brothers-in-law, Bob Napierala and Rick Burke.  She is survived by loving husband of 55 years; Peter F.; three sons: Peter J. (Kelly), Jeremy (Jill), and Joshua; three grandchildren: Jacob, Faith, and Jonah; her sisters: Phyllis Napierala and Margie Burke; nephews, John Napierala (Lia) and Paul Napierala (Bridget); and brothers-in-law, Paul Weishaar and James (Kathleen) Weishaar; and many cousins and friends. 

Jan was always there for her family—attending countless concerts, sporting events, and scout meetings.  She was a cub scout den leader, a PTA leader, a church secretary, and a library clerk.  She was an artist and a writer, an avid reader, and a friend to many.  With her husband she enjoyed hiking, day trips, family vacations in the Adirondacks, visiting favorite restaurants, and exploring antique shops, and wineries throughout the Finger Lakes.  She loved most being a wife, a mother, and a grandmother.  Remember, “What happens at Grandma’s stays at Grandma’s.”
