Dear Joan and Larry,
I read your dads obituary today in the democrat and chronicle. Jim and I lived across the road from him on Lake Meadow, We met your parents in the early 2010's
. They where our favorite neighbors and we became friends. After you mother passed away we would invite John over for dinner and we just grew to love him and enjoy his company !!! He was an amazing man, full of great intellect and lively conversations-- on just about any subject - political issues, economics, the federal reserve , religion , faith , flying his plane, his life and history, his daughter and son and his grandchildren where always a topic of conversation -- we laughed a lot and he did enjoy Jims mead -- honey wine . He took us to Williamson and showed us his air planes --we kept bee hives on his farm --We moved in December of 2019 and it was so hard to say good bye to John -- at this time he was having estate sales and cleaning out the barns -- WOW what a job that was -- and I think he moved to Mendon shortly after that -- we kept in touch through texting and phone calls and had always planned to visit him- but covid hit and the world turned upside down -- he always remained a special place in our hearts -- We where blessed to know him - and your mom as well - I met Joan at the Lake road home and Larry at your mother funeral at Holy Trinity--please know you and your family are in our prayers and may your memories bring you peace --
