Obituary of Charles T. Giannavola Sr.
Charles “Cannoli” Thomas Giannavola
Charlie passed away peacefully in Rochester, NY with family at the age of 88 on February 9, 2024.
He served in the Army during the Korean War. After serving in the military, he worked at Sealtest Ice Cream, sandblasted buildings, and spent time as a factory worker at Kodak. He ended his career at Xerox, retiring after 24 years as a factory worker.
Charlie was a huge sports fan and avidly rooted for the Baltimore Orioles and Buffalo Bills.
Predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Francis Giannavola and wife of 25 years., Aleta “Ann” Giannavola.
He is survived by his Children, Tom (Sandy), Rene (Christyn), and Mike (Courtney), and Grandchildren, Matthew (29), Nick (26), Marrisa (20), Lauren (17), Lucca (15), Rocco (12), Elliott (10), Milo (9), and Reece (8), and brother, Joe Giannavola and nephews Joe and Tony and niece Tina and Gina.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 15, from 4-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home at (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd, Rte. 250, Webster, NY 14580). On Friday, please join the family at the Church of the Holy Spirit (1355 Hatch Rd. Webster, NY 14580) for his Memorial Mass at 11am. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery following the mass.
