Obituary of Robert Anthony Russo
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on January 11, 2024, at age 77. Predeceased by his parents, John and Theresa; Brothers, John and Gary Russo; Sister-in-law, Karen Johnson. Survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Diane; Sons, Todd (Sarah), Geoff (Sarah), Marc (Melanie) and Scott; Grandchildren, Robert, Vivian, Phillip, Ella, Ava, and Lyla; Also, many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Bob was a family man first and foremost. He loved football, both as a player in his youth and coach for his four sons through their youth. Bob regularly visited his hometown of Westfield, NY to visit with family and friends and never missed a high school reunion. In his later years, he was a frequent attendee at his grandchildren's sporting events. He also loved animals and had numerous pets throughout his life, most recently his cat, Punkin. Bob was a proud Veteran, serving in the US Navy for 6 years. He retired after a 25 year career with Ontario County as Supervisor of Canandaigua Lake Sewer District.
Calling hours Saturday, January 20, from 11am – 1pm with a prayer service at 1pm BOTH at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, N.Y. 14580. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bob’s name to a charity of your choice.
The honor of your company is requested at a luncheon immediately following the service. Please join us at the Webster Recreation Center until 4pm. No RSVP needed.
