Obituary of Richard M. Battaglia
Richard Michael Battaglia,
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away January 4th, 2024, surrounded by love and family.
Richard's life was marked by a deep devotion to his late wife, Noreen Battaglia, who preceded him in death on November 1, 2023.
His passion for the water was unmatched. He found peace in the rhythm of the waves, whether boating, scuba diving, or simply relaxing. The water was his sanctuary, a place where he felt most at home.
Richard's dedication to his country was unwavering. His service in the Navy was a source of immense pride, not just for him but for all who knew him. This sense of duty extended beyond his years of service, as he generously supported many veterans' charities, helping those who shared his commitment to the nation.
Survived by his brother Raymond Battaglia, retired Air Force and his children, Richard Battaglia, Michelle Levesque, and Karen Claffey, will remember him. He had six grandchildren, Samatha Lake, Josette Thorington, Jayme Battaglia-Jennings, Christine Brumfield, Karlie Castrechino, and Romeo Levesque, and his five great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy in their own ways.
Richard Michael Battaglia's life was a journey. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As we bid farewell, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed, and a soul at peace. His departure leaves a void, but his spirit will forever sail in the hearts of his family and friends, reflecting in them like a lighthouse in the sea of life.
