Sharon L. Ventura
IRONDEQUOIT- Passed peacefully after a long illness with Parkinson’s disease and dementia, December 11, 2023. Predeceased by her husband, Chester “Chet” Ventura, mother and stepfather, Leona and Willis McKenna, father Glenn Osman, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Ventura. Survived by children Michelle (Chris) Power, Lisa (Jim) Kinzer, Rick (Delia), Steven (Linda), and Robert (Corinne) Ventura, grandchildren, Colton & Haley Power, James (Elizabeth), Richard & Natalie Kinzer, Erica (Jim), Nicole (Tim), Steven (Sarah), Stefanie (Peter), Gina (Oliver), Daniel & Lauren Ventura, and great-grandchildren, Avery, Liliana & Benjamin.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a selfless individual who gave to all. Sharon worked at Churchville Chili School District, the Town of Irondequoit, retired from Rochester General Hospital and was the proprietor of the Dutch Mill for 30 years where she enjoyed cooking for all and the friendship of her loyal patrons.
Please join the family at Holy Cross Church (4492 Lake Ave.) for her funeral mass on Monday, December 18th at 9:30am. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Entombment in Holy Sepulchre.
