Obituary of Benjamin Alvin Dehmler
In loving memory and with broken hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Dehmler on October 2, 2023.
Pre-deceased by his grandparents, Frederick Dehmler, Frank Balantic, Patricia Balantic; uncle, Jim Balantic. Survived by his parents, Bridget, and Michael Dehmler; sister, Shayna Dehmler; brother, William Dehmler; grandmother, Martha Dehmler; aunts, Elizabeth (Betsy) Dehmler, Kelly Balantic, Lori Balantic; uncle, Frank Balantic; cousins, Cathleen Balantic, Frank Balantic; God parents, John and Martha Dreste.
Ben was a freshman at Temple University majoring in film and media studies. Ben hoped for a career in film production and voice over performance work.
Ben was a member of the Temple Honors college having graduated with high honors from Penfield High School.
Ben enjoyed many years of boy scouts, helped his Penfield Robotics compete in the World Championship, played varsity tennis, and enjoyed classic rock on vinyl albums. His favorite band was The Strokes.
We will always remember Ben’s infectious belly laughs, his amazingly deep voice, the way he wrapped his mom in bear hugs and his huge and loving heart.
Ben will be missed, but never forgotten.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 6 from 4-7 PM at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Rte. 250, Webster, NY 14580.) On Saturday, please meet the family in Faith Lutheran Church (2576 Browncroft Blvd. Rochester, NY 14625) at 10 AM for the celebration of his Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Bivona Child Advocacy Center (1 Mount Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620). Interment private.
