Obituary of Joan Harriet Mooney

July 8, 2023.

Longtime resident of Claybrook St., Rochester, Joan (or Joanne as she was lovingly referred to) died peacefully in her sleep.

She leaves behind 1 brother, Gerald (Dee) Vetter of Dansville, NY and 1 sister, Marianne (George) Jeremenko of Wolcott, NY; Also, many, many nieces and nephews.

Joan is predeceased by her parents, August and Evangeline; Husband, Donald; Son, Kevin; Sisters, Lorraine Lewis, Rosemary and Marilyn Vetter, Dorothy Volo, Jean Green and brothers, Richard and Raymond Vetter.

Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; traveling; camping and especially shopping and had an amazing sense of fashion and home decorating. With her husband, Don she co-owned Mooney’s Bar and Grill and for many years enjoyed the camaraderie of patrons she considered friends.

The family of ‘Joanne’ would like to thank our nephew Alan and his wife MaryBeth for all the love and support they’ve shown her and us.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
