Obituary of Mary K. Breitung
Mary (Mickey) Breitung passed away peacefully on February 10, 2023, at the age of 83. She is survived by her daughters Lynn (Greg) Guilfoil, Jane (Craig) Kralles, Susan (Jeff) Farrell; her son, John (Jean) Breitung; her grandchildren and step-grandchildren Jay, Stacy, Greg, Matt, Andrea, Alex, Alyssa, Katie, Kelly, Jenna, Courtney, and Shannon, along with several nieces and nephews. Mary was born and raised in Henderson, NY, where she lived until her marriage to John (Jack) Breitung on September 8, 1956. At that time, she moved to Rochester, NY, and raised her family in the town of Webster. Upon retirement, Jack and Mickey moved to Bradenton, FL, where they enjoyed golfing and escaping the cold winters of New York. Mickey moved back to Rochester following Jack’s death in 2017.
Mickey loved their cottage on Snowshoe Bay in Henderson, watching Syracuse basketball and the Buffalo Bills, reading, the beach, and spending time with her children.
Private services will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
