Obituary of Theresa Mangione

Mangione, Theresa Rochester: Passed peacefully surrounded by her adoring family on March 16, 2013. Born March 19, 1920, she loved people and blessed her family and friends her entire life of nearly 93 years. Residing in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2003, she was previously of Rochester, New York. She was sweet, generous beyond compare, and an unconditionally loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (gigi), sister, aunt and friend to all. Theresa was a secretary for General Dynamics from shortly after WWII, bravely going against the notion that women should not work, until retiring in 1982. She was preceded in death by her husband John P Mangione, to whom she was wed for 61 years, son John J Mangione and great granddaughter Emily Rainey. She is survived by her brother Joseph Sciortino, her devoted son Tom and wife Miriam Mangione; son Richie Mangione; five grandchildren - Chad (Cathryn) Rainey; Shanda (Joey) Hopkins; Tamara (Matt) Sasso; Russalyn (Mike) Peerson; Toni Theresa (James) DeTrolio and six great grandchildren - Clarice, Elaine, Davis, Anna, Jeremiah and Virginia. She will be forever loved and missed. At Theresa's request there will be no services. Internment arrangements are being made by Falvo Funeral Home and White Haven Memorial Park in Rochester, NY.
