Joyce was my teacher at #39 school for 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. She was still Miss Guinta when she became my teacher. She was the best teacher anyone could hope for! She was so beautiful and kind! I will never forget her. My condolences to her family.

Dear Jery, Jeff and family, I have returned to this page several times in the past few days. How do you share 66 years of friendship? Joyce and I met at East High School where we became friends, sorority sisters, and we shared our first jobs together at Woolworths. We laughed many times remembering how we came from school and were hungry, so we ate candy because Joyce had the key to the candy room! Joyce, I will miss your kindness, but most of all, I will miss you. Rest in peace my friend, until we meet again. Love, Mary Carol LaRocca

Joyce was my second grade teacher at 39 School 50 years ago, back when she was still Miss Guinta. She was my favorite teacher of all time, and I have always remembered her fondly. I attended her wedding ceremony at St. Ambrose when she married Jerry. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones. May she rest in peace.

Uncle Jery and Jeff, I am devastated by the loss of Auntie Joyce. She just sent me a housewarming card for my new apartment. She was so thoughtful that way.
