Obituary of Beverly A. Spencer
Beverly A. Spencer
Born May 30th, 1953, the first of 7 to Jean & Richard DeBuyser, Bev was always busy doing something! From helping to raise her brothers and sisters, to being a hair stylist, and then becoming a homemaker and mother, Bev wore many hats during her life. If you ask anyone who knew Bev what they thought of her, they'd all say the same thing - she loved her family & her friends, and that Bev was the type of person who would do anything for anyone, no questions asked. Bev loved many parts of nature, but birds were her favorite to watch, and honey bee "things" were her favorite to collect, along with irises. Bev raised two sons, Gus, and Adam. Adam married his love, Katie, and they had their own son, Caleb, Bev's first grandchild. Caleb was the light of Bev's life. She was beyond happy to be "Grannie" (as she liked to be called), always excited every time she got to see him. Bev is survived by her mother, Jean; 3 sisters, Fay, Joyce & Emily; brother Matt, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bev was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in June of 2020. Through all the many prayers and treatments she received, she was able to stay with us until October 14th, 2021. Although her physical body is not with us anymore, Bev's spirit will be with us forever as there are so many things she was known for, that it's almost impossible not to see her in something anytime, anywhere.
