Obituary of Betsy DiPaola
Betsy DiPaola (Coon)
Penfield: Betsy DiPaola, age 77, born on September 26, 1944, raised in Marcellus NY. Passed away on October 2, 2021 after a courageous six year battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her children who loved her dearly. Predeceased by her husband John; parents, Clarence and Lulu Coon. Survived by her daughter Kristen (Jeff) Leenhouts, sons Michael (Kristine), Mark (Katherine) & Daniel (Ashley) DiPaola; Grandchildren John, Colin, Matthew, Eric, Ryah, Ava, Claire, Harper, Jack, Kinley, Sam, Patrick, Emelia & Joseph; sisters Eleanor Gill, Karen Malbone; brother Daniel Coon; several nieces, nephews; and many dear friends.
Betsy was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She adored and loved spending time with her 14 grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling all over the world. Some of her favorite places were out West, the Adirondacks and Keuka Lake. She enjoyed kayaking, hiking and spent many hours working on her gardens. For over 20 years she has volunteered at the Storehouse at Asbury First Methodist Church, where she has made many lifelong friends while serving the community.
Calling hours Friday, October 8th from 4-7 pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on October 9th, 2021 at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607. Services may also be live streamed at Asburyfirst.org.
Private interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
