I first met Klaus in 2003 in Turkiye while looking for an internship at Rochester area as a RIT student and he offered me a position on the spot! I had the opportunity to travel with him to CEBIT in Germany and visited potential business partners in Turkiye. I learned a great deal from his business experience and still remember his smiling face while mentioning the basics such as "the purpose of a business is to make money". My dad, mom, my brother, my wife all had great time with him and Brigitte in their visits. Thank you for very fond memories.
I wish patience to Brigitte and Dinah.

My dear friend,
You don't know how much I love you.
I am grateful for everything you have given me.
Your distant friend who will never forget you.
My heart is filled with great pain, it is a great sadness that I will not hear your voice anymore.
If there is a place called heaven, that is where you will be.
To be a good businessman
to be a good father,
to be a good wife,
There was no one in my life who taught better than you.

Dear Brigette and Dinah: I saw the article in the paper months ago about Dinah taking over with the company. I was going to send a note then. I just wanted to let you know I am Bruce Coxe's daughter Kathy. I babysat for you all those years ago. Dad was like Klaus' first friend when he joined Stromberg's. I remember getting together and having so much fun. Klaus had a strong zest for life and would always make things fun. An American success story. I'm happy we were part of each others lives. My sister Pat sends her condolences as well.

Klaus was nothing short of a great man both professionally and on a personal level. I have many wonderful memories of Klaus. He always had a story that could captivate a room full of people or be personal on a one on one basis. Klaus always made me feel special and welcomed. He would drop what he was doing at a moments notice to come and great me and have a conversation like you were the only focus of his attention. He was the kind of person who never forgot and conversations would pick up where you left off. I never felt disconnected with Klaus even though there would be months between our face to face visits or conversations. Klaus always had vision about the future or how things could be. While at the same time he strongly supported even the oldest of the many technologies he and his company invented and manufactured. You never had to worry about forced obsolesce in Klaus’s domain. I will truly miss this great man and cherish the many memories I have about him. On the bright side, I know Klaus’s legacy will continue with Dinah as she is definitely cut from the same cloth as her father. You have my deepest sympathy, warmest thoughts and prayers… Michael Vawter

Having known Klaus from 1967 to 1978 at Stromberg Carlson, and then being founding employee #3 at Redcom Labs, this is indeed sad news. I remember his rollicking organ playing at parties like it was yesterday!

As an employee of Stromberg Carlson, I remember Klaus . I didn’t work directly for him, but I knew many who did. He was very much respected by them. I joined REDCOM in 1987, enjoying over 30 years and grew to know him well. He was a strong-willed leader who loved a great party and treated his people like family. I liked him very much. Sandy and I wish peace for Brigitte, Dinah, John and the family.
