Obituary of Maureen Kay Galle
Maureen Kay Galle, 87, passed away peacefully at the Friendly Home in Rochester on June 30, 2021. Maureen was born to the late Van and Dorothy Risley on June 2, 1934 and spent her entire life living in Ontario. She was married to Ernest Galle for over 30 years until his passing in 1985.
Maureen is survived by five children, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Her daughters: Shelley Maimone (Mario), Laurie Braman (Daniel), Lisa Galle (Spike). Her sons: Michael Galle (Sherry) and Stephen Galle. Her Grandchildren: Emily, Daniel (Ashley), Andrew (Tiffany), Chloe, Lena and Ethan and her great granddaughter: Callie. Maureen was one of six children and is also survived by her sisters: Bonnie Gilbert (Jim) and Melissa Ouellette (Ernest) and her brothers: Jeff Risley (Sally) and Jerry Risley (Bonnie). She was predeceased by her sister Suzanne Johnson.
Maureen retired from WCTA Credit Union after working many years as a loan officer. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Although she was a true lover of all animals she was especially fond of cats. Her favorite furry “buddies”, Tillie and PK, always put a smile on her face and provided years of comfort and companionship. Maureen dearly loved her family and absolutely treasured her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
The family would like to extend their sincerest and heartfelt thanks to the Friendly Home, where Maureen lived prior to her passing. Their kind and compassionate care was a blessing in her final days.
In keeping with Maureen’s wishes, there will be no services and the burial will be held privately.
