John was one of my best friends in high school and talked me into joining the swim team. I used to hold the 500 yd cards for John when he swam the distance events. There were many great times at big events and quiet times just shooting pool at his house. He was a great person then and it sounds like he continued to be caring and fun.

Oh Patty. What do I say to bring comfort to you in this time of monumental loss. Words just don’t do justice to the sadness I know you are feeling.
