Obituary of Maria Vazquez-Santiago

Vazquez-Santiago, Maria Colon Irondequoit: Born Nov. 26, 1933 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, died Jan. 29, 2013 in Rochester, NY. Predeceased by husband of 57 years, Eugenio Santiago. Survived by 6 daughters, Maria Elena Santiago, Iris (James) Bertolone, Maria Eugenia Santiago, Virginia (Bobby) Albritton, Gladys (Joel) Goldberger, and Nivia Santiago; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, cousins and many close friends. Maria worked for Bonds Clothing Factory, and later was a member of the Women's American Legion in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. No prior calling hours. Maria's Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday February 2nd at 11 AM in St. Francis Xavier Cabrini at Annunciation Church (1754 Norton St.). Private interment at a later date in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Leo Caring Center at St. Ann's Community and to the many family and friends that bought her much love and support in her last days.
