Lyn I was so sad and heartbroken when I heard the news of your mom’s passing. This picture is from your wedding rehearsal dinner when your mom brought out her blonde mode. I love this picture of us and the fun time we had that night. Your mom truly was like a second mom to me. From being the PTA mom and to going on field trips with us in grammar school. I have some funny memories of your mom I will share with you and the family from the old house to the new house but one of the classic moments was as we all played outside in the neighborhood in summer months back in the day we all stuck together even as street lights came on. But if we heard your mom call out the door in true Anna style—-/Luanne, Lynmarie, Anthony and Stephanie come home we all looked at each other scared, didn’t say a word and everyone ran home!!! Lol! We all knew it’s time to head back home if Mrs Cotela was calling your names out the door! She was one of a kind and loved all of us. Rest In Peace Mrs Cotela -forever in our hearts ❤️

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we, your 4 children, bid you farewell, Mom. It is unjust & unfathomable, the manner in which you perished from this earth during your favorite time of year. Through thick & thin, you gave us our foundation & our wings. Together with the greatest Dad you could’ve given us, you raised the 4 of us - I Favolosi Quattro - to stick together no matter what; to care about others; to serve our communities; to embrace all people & places & cultures of the world; to value higher education; to purposely contribute; and to perpetuate all that by passing it on to our children. You taught us that “open arms & open minds open doors.” We all know that your favorite & most joyful role was being Gramma to your 6 grandkids who are terribly heartbroken. They are better humans for having your love. You certainly were a force: feisty, fiery, fierce. We are so very shattered & saddened by the way you came to pass away. May peace be yours eternally, Mom. We love you beyond measure & we are grateful for all you instilled in us during your entire earthly lifetime. Fly with the angels now, dance with Dad again, and know that, while painfully grieving, we remain ‘Cotela Strong’ down here.

To Luanne and the entire Cotela Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I'm sure that mere words can do little to comfort or console, but do know that you have my deepest sympathy at this difficult time. Your mom was indeed a character. I will never forget those days on Long Island with your family sharing raucous holidays and meeting so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and eating so much food I thought I would burst!! Your mom in her own wisecracking way always made me feel welcome. Definitely one of a kind!!! She will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs Cotela. She accepted me into the Cotela family with open arms. I have such great memories of spending time with the Cotela’s on Long Island. Ann was quick witted and funny as all get out. LOL. The stories she used to tell had me in stitches most of the time. And her chicken park was on point! She truly loved her family. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do for you all. During these difficult times ahead it’s the memories that will guide and ease the pain of your loss.
Love,
Sylvester SLy Pittman

I wish the situation was different so that I could pay proper respects, but sadly I can not. I am still without words.

So sorry about the news. But be happy she knew she raised all her children with love and caring, in a very close family. And she lived to see all her children become successful at their own interests. Rip
