Barbara Gibson 11-5-32 - 12-15-2020
Barbara Mary Gibson (Ronco), age 88 passed away December 15, 2020 due to heart complications. She was born in Rochester, NY on November 5, 1932 to Matthew and Alice Ronco. She married William (Bill) Gibson who preceded her in death in 1989.
Barbara loved to dance, sing, and enjoyed a good Hershey bar and Hot Fudge Sundae! She graduated from East High School, started her working career as a switchboard operator at Bauch and Lomb and once her two daughters were born she worked at 33 School in Rochester, NY.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Hapeman, Lorie Gibson Rick (John), Grandchildren, Bryan Hapeman, Justin Hapeman (Megan), Allison Boehm (Steve), Jake Rick (Ashley), and Maxwell Rick (Stacey). Great grandchildren, Lucas Boehm, Zachary Boehm, Sloane Rick, Sawyer Rick and Oliver Hapeman as well as her partner of over 25 years Claire Willey.

● Grandma Day (pizza, wings, and donuts every Wednesday)
● Nickname: G-MONEY!
● Her love of tube tops, short shorts, leg warmers, wristbands and headbands.
● Her obsession with Matt Damen movies and the TV show Blue Bloods
● The way she loved to match every item she was wearing in the same color.
● Never leaving the house unless her face was done.
● Washing her car with windex at Sodus Point.
● Taking Bryan and Justin on vacations.
● The amount of bags she would bring for one overnight stay
● Underlining words on cards and filling the envelope with stickers.
● Sharing her love of dancing with her grandchildren and friends, especially at weddings to the song New York New York. Hats are a must!
● Enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports.
● She enjoyed a good strong cup of coffee and always left lip her lipstick on the cup.
● Her love for fast food especially Wendy’s frosty and burgers.
● The way she cried on X-mas eve service during the singing of Silent Night.
