Kathy was our neighbor at Summit Knolls. We met her on our first day there and immediately knew we would be friends. When the weather was nice we would "hang out" at her apartment, along with other neighbors and lots of dogs! We had a lot of laughs and also some deep conversations. When we moved out of Summit Knolls we didn't talk as often, which I regret. Kathy, I know you're with all of your fur-babies now. Love you, Jan & Charlie Fendt

As a physical therapist I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Kathy over many years. She always amazed me in her ability to persevere and do so much with so little. Never one to complain, she was an inspiration to many. Her great sense of humor, ability to say exactly what she felt and loving personality were attributes that will be sorely missed.

Kathy and I were neighbors and friends for a long time. Back when she had Bailey and all of us neighbors would gather in front of her apartment to visit almost daily. When she got Maggie, my cat Romeo and Maggie would take walks together and it was a regular occurrence. When Kathy moved to a unit farther down, I'd visit several times a week and took care of Maggie & Simon for her a couple times. Often she would come up to my apartment as Maggie knew it well and made herself at home with Romeo, and then my with my second cat Sweetpea.
Kathy was a unique person. Kind, funny, open and accepting to others. She was determined not to let any handicaps get her down. She was amazing. I regret that we didn't stay closer the last couple years. I cherished the good times we shared and the world will miss her.
My condolences to her family.
