Obituary of Constance M Modrak

Webster: June 2, 2020

Predeceased by her daughter-in-law Julia Modrak & son-in-law Lawrence Whitaker. Survived by her loving husband of 64 years J. David; her children John D. Jr. (Michele), Janice Whitaker, Myra (Patrick) Holden & Mark; grandchildren Christopher (Laura) Whitaker, Benjamin (Blair) Whitaker, Zachary (Emily) Whitaker, JD (Ellen) Modrak, Kaelyn Modrak (Tucker Andrews) & Meghan Modrak; great-grandchildren Walter & Cole.

Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to everyone that had the pleasure and privilege to know her.

She was an impeccable homemaker who kept a sparkling, well organized, and comfortable house. With a background in banking, she also earned an associate's degree in business administration at MMC and  did the bookkeeping for the family business.

Entertaining was one of her greatest gifts, with family and friends enjoying a multitude of favorite baked and cooked delights. Community was also very important to Connie. She served as treasurer for both the Webster Women's and Gardens clubs. She practiced her catholic faith as a member of St. Paul's Church and volunteered for many parish activities over the years. As an avid golfer, one of the highlights of her membership at the Sodus Bay Golf club was when she won the Ladies Invitational.

Her family and friends are blessed with so many wonderful memories and will cherish her sweet smile, caring heart, and lovely personality forever. Cheers to you, Connie!

A Memorial Mass at St. Paul’s Church will be announced at a later date.
