Obituary of Carol Ann Woods

Carol Ann Woods Webster - Carol Ann Woods, a caregiver and resident of Webster, New York, died on December 9, 2019 unexpectedly at the age of 77 at Rochester General Hospital. Carol is survived by her son Mark and his wife Alison, three grandchildren, Nick Woods, Samantha Pellegrino and Andrea Woods, as well as four great-grandchildren, Hannah Woods, Leah Woods, Colton Pelligrino and Rylee Pellegrino. She is predeceased by her brother Joseph DeMaria. Carol was born in Rochester, New York on August 9, 1942 to Mario and Rose DeMaria. She attended Miami Central High School in Dade County Florida and worked as an administrative assistant at KPMG and Bonadio & Co. Carol devoted many years of her life caring for children. She loved kids and was the primary caregiver for several families. The kids never wanted Carol to leave and no matter the circumstance, she would listen, laugh, love, and read stories. Each of the kids meant everything to Carol and she was everything to them. She considered them all family and made more of an impact on the lives of those children and families than she ever knew. She also loved spending time at her apartment with her cat Margaret and her dearest friend Mary. She loved eating junk food, drinking wine, listening to rock music and writing letters and notes to almost anyone she encountered. She was the biggest fan of Bret Michaels, Troy Aikman, Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins. Carol was young at heart and always thinking of others. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. A funeral service is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Saturday December 14th at St. Michael's Church, 859 N. Clinton Avenue, Rochester, New York 14605. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 275 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14608.
