Obituary of Carolina Lubberts (Trapani)

Carolina Lubberts (Trapani)

Port St. Lucie, FL.  On Sunday, October 6, 2019 at age 79, Carol passed away and went home to heaven, because of her faith alone in Jesus Christ.

She is predeceased by her husband Tom (Taeke) Lubberts, her parents Charles and Providence Trapani, her first husband Salvatore DiPaola, and brothers Joe and Sam Trapani.  She is survived by many loving family members and friends.

Carol was born and raised in Villalba, Sicily and moved to Rochester, NY with her family when she was just 17 or 18 years old and did not speak English.

She overcame this and many other obstacles throughout her life and raised two sons, retired from Eastman Kodak and Bausch & Lomb, and moved to Florida like so many Rochesterians do.  She enjoyed entertaining family and friends in her homes in Spring Hill and Port St. Lucie. Perhaps you had a slice of key lime pie with her.

She also loved gardening, making her own sauce, and decorating her yard with treasures like statues, fountains, peach trees, banana trees, and pots of flowers and trees.  Home Depot was a favorite shopping place where she could buy just one more thing.  She had a green thumb and could make anything grow.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, who she always invited to her home to share a meal.  We will love you forever!

Calling hours Friday, October 18, 4–8pm Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. (Rte. 250) Webster. Memorial service Saturday, October 19, 11am Lakeshore Community Church, 3651 Latta Road.
