Chan Vongsykeo
February 5, 1959-August 6, 2010
Chansamone Vongsykeo, 60, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on August 6th 2019.
Chan is preceded in death by his father Zhang Xun Xing. He is survived by his mother Phene Vongsykeo, his wife Lam, his 3 children, William, Lisa and Linda, his 3 grandchildren, Ayla, Kobe and Koda, and several loving cousins and relatives. Chan was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone.
Chan loved sports, especially soccer. He worked as an auto mechanic for 30+ years, but was forced to give up his career due to his health. Chan was also a great musician who performed in his own band. He played various instruments but the keyboard was his specialty. His band performed all around the country for the past 3 decades until his last big performance on April of 2019 at the Embassy of Laos in Washington D.C, in honor of Laos New Year. Music was his passion. He also enjoyed being around the house doing home projects, gardening, eating, and spending time with his loved ones. Chan was always there to lend a helping hand to his family, friends. His legacy will live on in our hearts.
We’d like to thank many people for their support during this difficult time. Our friends, family, and the staff of Lifetime care for their hard work and compassion. Thank you.
Visitation will be from 3-7pm at the Falvo Funeral home on Friday August 16th and on Saturday August 17th at 11am, crematory to follow.
