Obituary of Michael Scharney

Scharney, Michael Rochester: 3/9/1918-11/9/2012, age 94. Mike lived a long full life with his head held high. No matter what challenges life threw his way he rarely complained. He most always saw the glass half full. He was a people person who frequented many local "saloons" around town, making friends wherever he went. He had many stories of times gone by and "the good old days" in Rochester. He had dignity and class as only a man of his generation could have. He was gentle, kind, generous and wise. His heart was bigger than most may have realized. He was a most caring, loving man and a true friend. He will be missed by many. Mike left no family and is survived by many friends and caregivers. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Grinells Restaurant (1696 Monroe Ave. 14618) on Tuesday, November 27, 4-6 PM.
