Obituary of Joseph A. Frate

Frate, Joseph A. (Major US Army Ret.) Webster: Passed peacefully April 14, 2016 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Barbara (Porretta), parents Andrew & Mary and brother Dominic Frate. He is survived by his children Andrew (Nancy) Frate, Lisa (David) Towers & Jerry (Janel) Frate, grandchildren Adam, Bradley, Bethany, Alex, Elise & Julia, brother-in-law Gerald (Mary) Porretta, sister-in-law Laura Frate, many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends Evelyn Suppo & Susan Maglisco. Joseph was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, retired Army Officer & collegiate athlete; he had a passion for reading, gardening, traveling and gathering with his friends and his dog Brandi. He was a long time member of The Knights of Colombus. Calling Sunday 4 - 8 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. Webster (Rte. 250). Please join the family for the celebration of his funeral Mass 10 AM Monday at Holy Trinity Church (1460 Ridge Rd. Webster).
