Johanna will be remembered by many for the love and friendship she showed to all who crossed her path.
Our daughters were always excited and happy to visit Johanna and Gino when we came to Rochester for a visit. Carolyn in particular loved the wonderful lunches we shared with them. It was also wonderful for our children to hear the family stories about Johanna and her family and mine coming to America.
Johanna was blessed with a wonderful family. She enjoyed telling me about them when we talked on the phone. She and I would try to speak German on the phone so that I could keep up my German but usually we would slip into English as our conversation went on.
