I attended Corning Community College with Don in 1963. He and I quickly became friends and my nickname for him was "Little Milo". I had the good fortune of being asked to come to Rochester and share Thanksgiving with him and his family. It was memorable! I always appreciated his sense of humor and his friendship. We went our separate ways, and here in later years I made the effort to catch up and renew that friendship, but too late. However: Don was a friend. I offer my condolences to his family!

"Coach" Santore was my youth football coach for several years when I was growing up in the '70's in Irondequoit. He, together with Coach Mandell and Coach Perrotta (there were some others) helped shape the lives of the young men lucky enough to play for them. So many youth coaches are involved for the wrong reasons. These guys gave of their time for the kids. Thanks, Coach! And thanks to the family for sharing him with us. Mark

TO Santore Family I read of your loss, and would like to offer my condolences. A few days ago,I lost a member of my family and I understand the grief and sorrow that you and your family are feeling at this time. Although words cannot fill the emptiness of your loss,I would like to share with you the promise stated at John 5:28,29. "All those in the memorial tombs will hear his(JESUS)voice, and come out to a resurrection of life.." May I assure you,I am not trying to give or change your religion. The pain of loss is felt, regardless of religion. May you be strengthened and comforted by friends and family through this VERY DIFFICULT time.
