Jim was my supervisor for only one year in the early 70's at what was then Baltimore City Hospitals. I was hired as the Nursing In-service instructor. Jim taught me to get to know my colleagues and learn what they had to offer. I was able to provide educational programs to the institution by using the acquired knowledge of these wonderful people. Jim had a way with people that brought out the best in them. He also guided my cousin to Morgan State College...now University...to get her degree. He made a big impact on both my family's life and my professional life in a short time. Thank you Jim. Marylu Manning Silbergeld

I believe that James was the "Mister" Kopelke who taught me at Chesapeake Terrace Elementary. He was a great teacher because he made learning enjoyable and he made school fun. I can't imagine a greater compliment for a teacher.

Beth, I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He was the very definition of a "gentleman" and he will be missed. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
