Obituary of John Bernie

John Bernie December 17, 2010. Predeceased by his beloved and devoted wife, Maria; and his beloved son, Robert John. Survived by his daughter, Alice (Craig) Goodrich; sons, Frank (Marilyn), Daniel (Olga) Bernie; grandchildren, Todd and Jennifer Goodrich, Danielle (Sal) Latore, John, Frank (Antonia), Michael, Daniel, David and Stephanie Bernie; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Lusardi; many nieces and nephews. John served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a member of the Nations "Greatest Generation". He was a stone-brick mason and worked for Ridge Construction and retired from Eastman Kodak in 1981. He was a devoted husband and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid hunter and loved bowling and was a team member of the "Toledos' up until 3 months before his death. Calling, Sunday 3-7 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 North Goodman St. On Monday, please meet the family at St. Cecilia's Church for his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
