I was so sad to hear about Mariangela's passing. I had the honor of knowing her and spending much time with her and from her I learned to always put your best foot forward, never give up, always have a smile on your face and be there for your family. I learned how to walk with grace. I also learned that I have a great love for cooking! I miss those meals. She worked so hard and enjoyed seeing everyone happy! My condolences to her family.

l have referred to Zia Angelina as the energizer bunny, she kept going and going. When Zio Luigi passed away, she kept going. Through many illnesses, she kept going. She kept going to the very end. To Our Dearest Zia Angelina, Words can never describe how much you mean to us. You were basically the only zia around as I grew up and that makes you a big part of my life. Thank you for being such a caring, warm, and loving zia. I have so many fond and warm memories of you, especially from my childhood. Some of the fondest ones that I often think about are as follows: When I was in elementary school I would walk to your house at lunch time from school so that I could have lunch with you and you would open the door with a big warm welcoming smile. I remember loving that one on one time with my favorite Zia. When I was young and we would get together at your home you would make me a cup of espresso with warm milk and that made me feel like such a big girl. I still have not had pizza as yummy as you made for all of us when it was Anthony's, Cathy's and Al's birthday...it was the best! Let's not forget about the yummy cookies you made, my favorite being the twist ones with the powdered sugar. I always loved hearing your story about when Pina, Tony and me were very young and we would run away from home to come to your house. The police would come looking for us at your house and they would tell you to stop spoiling us. Coming to visit you was always such a treat...you spoiled us with all the Italian style traditions. As I became an adult you always shared your wisdom with me and one of them was to always stay strong and never let anything bring you down. I will always keep that in my mind and heart...thank you for such great wisdom. These few examples bring me so many memories of our special relationship. Not only were you dear to me, but you were dear to Franco, Bianca and Sofia. They always felt your warm sincere love for them and loved you very much. We will miss you dearly and miss seeing your beautiful warm smile. Thank you for being in our lives and being a loving zia to us. We will always keep you in our thoughts and heart.
