Michael was a thoughtful, supportive and respected researcher. I worked for a competing firm (Gartner) for 10 years and was positioned against IDC and Mike for a number of those years. During this time, I got to know Michael and came to respect his knowledge and passion for our business. His untimely passing is not only shocking but also quite painful. I know many in the document research analyst community will miss Michael and all that he brought to the table.
