October 17, 2010, 69 years old. Al lost his valiant battle with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy).
Predeceased by his mother and father, Jennie & Albert Vergona.
Survived by his loving wife, Joanne; sister, Linda Palumbo (Donald Lieberman); son, Patrick (Mary Catherine); son, Steven; step-daughter, Sherry Stulpin; step-son, Christopher Stulpin (Charlie); grandchildren, Tyler Cretelle, Patrick and Isabella Vergona. Al was an Air Force Vet¬eran. He started as a Research Scientist and was President of Light Valve Technology, a venture company of Eastman Kodak. After retirement he pursued his lifelong dream of becoming an accom¬plished artist. His paintings have been featured at Artisan Works and Renaissance Gallery.
Al's Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, 11 AM in Christ the King Church.
Donations can be made to Rochester General Hospital Foundation. I would like to thank Dr. Larry Chessin and the wonderful staff in the 7800 unit of Rochester General Hospital for the compassionate care given to my beloved husband.
Interment, private.
